The International Crossbow Shooting Union announced the names of the first IAU athlete ambassadors. These well-known crossbow shooters were awarded honorary ambassador certificates and business cards being a proof of their new status and outstanding sports achievements.
IAU athlete ambassadors’ main responsibilities are to promote, popularize and support a positive image of the International Crossbow Shooting Union worldwide.
The first to play this crucial role will now be: Lolita Kochetova (Russia), Valentina and Domagoj Pereglin (Croatia), Andrej Krstinić (Croatia).
These crossbow shooters from Field division were awarded special certificates and business cards being an official confirmation of their ambassador status. IAU athlete ambassadors were honoured during the closing ceremony of the World Cup Final that took place on December 5 - 8 in Dubrava, Croatia.
In addition to the athletes mentioned above, a special certificate of the IAU ambassador was awarded to an honorary guest of the tournament Josip Glasnovic, a famous Croatian shooter, an Olympic champion in trap shooting of 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.
Moreover, Vepa Sahedov, the President of the Archery Federation of Turkmenistan received an honourable title of IAU ambassador as well. Despite being a beginner in crossbow shooting, he does his best in order to develop crossbow shooting in his native country and on international scale.
The International Crossbow Shooting Union will continue honoring ambassadors and awarding them with memorable certificates during major IAU tournaments. A number of crossbow shooters from Match division will also be appointed for this responsible IAU athlete ambassador post!
