Innsbruck hosts a double event in match crossbow shooting this week, bringing together international and domestic competitors for the 10m discipline. The competition opened with the Austrian Open Mixed Team event on the first day. Mixed teams, consisting of one male and one female athlete, competed in qualification rounds followed by elimination matches. Teams from Austria, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic and Switzerland were among those participating, with several matches decided by narrow margins.
New World Record for Jolanda Prinz
The second day marked the beginning of the World Cup competition with the 1st World Cup Match. Scores were consistent with international standards, and several athletes reached results over the 390 mark. The match counted toward the overall World Cup standings, attracting a competitive field, including previous World Championship medalists.

Parallel to the World Cup, the Austrian Open continued with the finals in the Senior (45+), U23 Women, and U23 Men categories. Qualification results from earlier rounds determined the top eight shooters in each class, who then competed in finals following the standard ISSF-style format adapted for match crossbow. Local athletes were well represented in all three categories, with some delivering notable performances against experienced competitors from neighboring countries.
